Woolwax Auto & Truck Undercoating kit #2 Two Gallon Kit with PRO Spray Gun w/ wands

This kit was exactly what I needed. It worked great and was so simple and easy to use. I applied the Black Woolwax and it is holding up extremely well so far. Could not be more pleased with this purchase.

All is great except the extension wands want to pop off of their brass fitting. Not by air pressure, but if the wand is pushed over enough it will pop off due too a non secure connection

I purchased a 2011 f150 & really didn’t notice that it had been a northern vehicle exposed to road salt. Once I got it home & started performing maintenance I noticed the rockers had been replaced & upon further inspection noticed it had some pretty serious surface rust on the undercarriage. I got it for a great price & it’s seems solid mechanically. So I thought if I leave the rust it may continue to spread. I spent hours pressure washing underneath. Cleaning all the flaking off. I researched what I could do to stop the rust. I started to paint, but threads read painting could make it worse trapping moisture & enhancing the rust. I finally found threads about woolwax and people said this would stop rust in its tracks. I purchase a kit with a sprayer & various lengths of spray wand attachments and 2 extra reservoir bottles, 2 gallons of woolwax black & also 1 can of clear woolwax aerosol. I rolled out plastic on my garage floor & pulled the truck in. Put on old work clothes and crawled under the truck. I sprayed everything thoroughly. Up in cracks & crevices & in hard to reach frame channels using the flexible spray wands. I used the clear aerosol for the inside door & tail gate bottoms. The black made this trucks underside look new again. This truck is a super crew cab with a 6.5’ bed. I coated everything from all angles & used 1.5 gallons. I love the way it looks & feel good that I’ve halted the rust. The application tools I purchased were great quality and worked with ease. I mixed the product well & sprayed during a hot dry day. Woolwax sprayed like a dream & had great coverage. I am Sold that Woolwax saved my truck from rusting out. Now I have the tools I can re apply as needed. The only downside is it doesn’t ever completely dry. We have a small indoor/outdoor jack Russell. She ran under the rear diff & got coated with wool wax & started to jump on our sofa. We caught her in the nick of time. If I were to do over I’d not spray the front & rear diffs with wool wax but spray paint the diffs because of the dogs. After spraying it looks kinda drippy but once you drive It a while the wind smooths it out & it looks great & is lubricating the rusty areas. It's definitely thicker than fluid film. I got 2 gallons and had to heat them up under our heater to get them to flow into the spray bottles. Smell isn't horrible, not as pungent as fluid film, and after a hour or so, didn't smell it at all. Spraying it was quite easy. I work at a garage so I just lifted my truck, took the wheels off, put garbage bags over the brakes and went to town. Definitely get extra spray tips like the extension wands. You're going to need them to get into some parts of fenders, box sides, through tail lights, my only gripe of the kit, the atomizer /360° wand.....sucks. It barley spits anything out. Doing my truck, that part was the part that took forever because of how little comes out. Not sure what the fix would be. Maybe a little bigger holes to get more product through. Idk. But it sucked. They nailed the quantity for vehicle. My half ton extended cab took exactly 1 1/2 gallons. Living in the rust belt of Buffalo NY, and being a mechanic at an indy shop, I have very strong opinions on rustproof/undercoating. The rubber stuff is horrible. Should be illegal. A yearly application of this or things like it will do a much better job, while still being able to work on the vehicle. I've used fluid film for 5 years on customer repairs/other odds and ends, and this is almost the same. But a bit better. There's a 1 year review of it on YouTube shortly after I sprayed it and know I will be happy with the results. Long story short, this is the stuff to get. Yeah you have to touch up/reapray it year. But it's cheaper than a new car/frame/body repair... Mechanic approved and suggested.

This is a superior product. I purchased the whole 2 gallon kit with the gun , product , spray can and adapter, etc etc. the spray equipment was high quality. The product itself laid down nice and got into every nook and cranny with the extra extended wands I ordered, and with the black finish chassis looked brand new. Cust service was second to none, I made a note to have it here by a certain date, and it was. Very pleased with the overall process, Will order again.

What I can say is once the wool wax is heated up well in warm water it sprays fantastically. It appears to be adhering to my truck well. I will be more curious to see how it holds up in the winter, I do plan to spray it once more in the fall. I decided to experiment with a lanolin based undercoating on my 2019 Silverado and from much research this is the best on the market. I have a 1998 Chevy 2500 that has been sprayed annually with linseed oil and it’s in amazing condition. So only time will tell if this product can stand up to the tried and true linseed oil. I know a lot of people that use the lanolin based undercoatings but I have yet to meet someone with a truck as old as mine that’s been sprayed with lanolin exclusively to see real world results, so only time will tell. Product went on great it was 85 degrees when I put it on. I had some issues with the extensions so be careful when using do not kink at all cost product will spray out vent holes. There customer service is top notch very nice people they replaced my extensions. Very Happy with the out come would highly recommend!!

Purchased used a 2005 4Runner with lots of surface rust. Spent lots of time descaling and then using a rust converter with a top coat of rust encapsulator paint. Final step was to coat with Woolwax. I spent several sessions spraying the black Woolwax on the frame, inside frame, all over. It sticks very well and did not run. Am eager to see how it holds up during our northeast winter. I plan to spray this annually to preserve this vehicle.

I bought the pro sprayer kit after using the rattle cams the previous 2 years. This kit works so much cleaner and quicker than the cans.

This is an awesome product and would highly recommend. A few of my friends have been using Woolwax with great results so I decided to try it. The spray gun that comes with the kit worked very well and the aersol can with the extension wand was useful for spraying inside my doors and rocker panels. I also added the long 360 degree wand which allowed me to undercoat inside all of my frame rails. Woolwax is definitely a bit thicker than Fluid film so I have heard that applying it when it is cold out can be difficult. When I undercoated my Tacoma I let the product warm up in the sun in 70 degree weather which worked very well and I had zero issues applying it. I will definitely be using this product again next year before winter.
